The Receiver will continuously review inventory and determine what supplies need to be ordered.
Individual will write up purchase orders and submit them to vendors, track orders, and arrange for the shipment of these items.
Will also be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, organizing and maintain stock, reviewing the process of receiving and ensuring the safety within the environment that they work.
Responsibilities Place orders Receivers continually review inventory and determine what supplies need to be ordered.
They write up purchase orders and submit them to vendors, track orders, and arrange for the shipment of these items.
Receive Incoming shipments One of the most important responsibilities for receivers is to assist overseeing incoming items that arrive at their store.
They assist to review purchase orders and match shipped items to those that were ordered, note any discrepancies, document items received, and update inventory databases.
Organize and Maintain Stock Once shipments have been received and logged, it is up to receivers to ensure that all items are properly tagged, labeled, and stored safely within the supermarket.
Receiving Clerks will operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move supplies and place them on shelving or stack them properly as required.
Review Receiving Processes Receiving clerks periodically review intake processes to make sure that operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Ensure Safe Warehouse Operations and Supply Storage Safety is a main priority for Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace, and it is up to receivers to assist with the implementation of safety practices and processes within a warehouse.
They make sure that all safety procedures comply with state and federal regulations, post safety information for employee review, train employees in safety methods, and maintain a neat and orderly environment.
Other duties and functions as assigned Additional skillset Must be highly organized and detail-oriented Mechanical Skills - Operating warehouse machinery and equipment calls; individuals must possess strong mechanical skills.
Data Entry - Receivers should be adept at entering accurate data for purchase orders, inventory logs, safety reports, and other records Computer Skills - Familiarity with inventory software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Communication - Oral and written communication skills are crucial when it comes to placing orders, speaking with suppliers and submitting inventory reports.
Work Independently - Receivers must possess the ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments without having to consult superiors.
Organizational Skills - Keeping an orderly warehouse allows for accuracy in ordering and maintaining supplies Physicality - The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, stoop, and lift are physical attributes that are important for receivers.
